Germany’s football federation (DFB) has ruled out boycotting the 2026 World Cup — even though some officials had suggested doing so to send a message to former U.S. President Donald Trump over his political actions. The DFB said football should be a unifying force and that debates on sport policy should stay internal. Germany will take part in the tournament, which runs June 11–July 19 in the U.S., Canada and Mexico.
